FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything carriers need to know about working with Apex Lane Logistics.
How do I join the Apex Lane Logistics carrier network?
Call our dispatch team at (562) 362-4770 or submit your information through the carrier signup form on our website. We'll collect your MC number, equipment type, and preferred lanes to get you on file.
How long does onboarding take?
Most carriers are fully onboarded within 24 hours of first contact. We run a quick FMCSA verification and complete your carrier packet. Once approved, we can match you to your first load — often the same day you finish onboarding.
Is there a setup fee to join?
No. Getting into our network costs you nothing. There are no setup fees, no contracts, and no hidden charges to get started.
What documents do I need to get started?
You'll need your MC number and basic carrier information to complete the carrier packet. Our team handles the FMCSA verification and guides you through the process step by step.
What does your dispatch service include?
Our dispatch service covers rate negotiation, load matching, paperwork, and 24/7 support. We proactively line up your next loads so you can focus on driving — we handle the rest.
How much does dispatch cost?
We charge an 8% dispatch fee per load. That means you keep 92% of every load. No hidden fees, no monthly charges.
Is dispatch support available 24/7?
Yes. Our dispatch team is available around the clock, 7 days a week. You can reach us by phone at (562) 362-4770 or (562) 270-5548, or by email at operations@apexlanelogistics.com.
Can I approve loads before accepting them?
Absolutely. Once matched with a dispatcher, you review and approve every load before it's confirmed. We present you the best available option for your equipment and location — the final call is always yours.
How does Apex Lane Logistics find loads?
Apex Lane has built direct relationships with a vetted network of freight brokers, shippers, and load boards across the country. Our dispatchers work these connections daily — negotiating rates, securing high-paying freight, and lining up loads before you even finish your current run. We monitor multiple load boards in real time, prioritize direct broker relationships to cut out the middleman where possible, and focus on lanes out of Southern California that keep your truck moving with minimal deadhead miles.
How quickly do I get paid?
QuickPay is available for carriers who want it. With QuickPay, you can get paid within 48 hours of delivery — no waiting weeks for a standard pay cycle.
What payment options are available?
We offer QuickPay with payment within 48 hours of delivery confirmation. Contact our operations team for details on payment methods and terms that work best for your business.
What types of equipment do you dispatch?
We dispatch dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, step decks, power only, box trucks and hotshots. Whatever your equipment type, we have freight options to keep you moving.
What freight lanes do you specialize in?
We primarily move freight out of California — covering major shipping hubs like Los Angeles, Long Beach, and the Inland Empire — but our lanes stretch coast to coast. Our dispatchers cover runs heading east through the Midwest, Southeast, and Northeast, as well as throughout the West. And as we continue to grow, we've recently expanded to support drivers based on the East Coast as well, matching them to freight heading in any direction across the lower 48. Wherever you're running, we have the broker connections and load board coverage to keep you loaded and moving.
Do you have loads available every day?
Yes. We have 100+ loads available every day. Our team uses real-time freight matching to connect carriers with the best available loads for their equipment type and location.
Can you help me find backhaul loads?
Yes. Minimizing deadhead miles is one of our priorities. Call our dispatch team directly at (562) 362-4770 and we'll check available loads in your area to keep your truck earning on the return trip.
